Adjust To The Left/Right. In many cases, the lead bifold door just needs adjusting to the left/right. To do this, you should adjust the hinges found on the sill. All you need for this is a simple Allen key. Play around with the hinges until the door feels like it’s moving properly and closes fully. Adjust The Height. Contact Us2/2/2017 · It’s not unknown for the brickwork to be slightly out of square, meaning that the Bifold outer frame won’t have enough space to be properly squared up. This creates a squeezed effect on the individual panels which, in turn, expands the whole train of doors. A rapid increase in temperature can cause the unfixed aluminium profiles to expand.

Contact UsIf your bifold doors are dragging however, and appear to be sitting a little low or are sometimes popping out of their track when you use the door, you can adjust the height using the hinge bolts until they stay in place, extending it to raise the doors and pushing it in to lower them.
Contact UsStep 2: move the bifold doors over to the side of the lock jamb by altering the pivots until the gap is 4mm. Step 3: if the lock works, gradually adjust them back the other way to a maximum of 6mm to 7mm or until the lock will not work. Step 4: make a final small adjustment back to the lock jamb until operational.
